Insight Awarded PEPPM Contract

Garden Grove, California, December 2009 – Insight Investments today announced that it has been awarded a contract with the PEPPM educational ordering service. Insight Investments, through it’s Insight Systems Exchange division is now authorized to provide off-lease refurbished computers to all Pennsylvania educational facilities. Educational organizations in other states, while not officially a part of the PEPPM network, can nonetheless still take advantage (subject to state law) of the program’s streamlined ordering process, easy access to information, and lower prices.

Starting on January 1, 2010, for the 2010 school year, educational institutions around the country will be able to purchase off-lease refurbished computers from Insight Systems Exchange through the PEPPM web iste ( www.peppm.org ).

PEPPM is a technology acquisition cooperative started in 1982 to provide a simple and effective purchasing framework for Pennsylvania’s educational partners. It consists of a set of hardware and software contracts which give educational institutions a wide variety of choice in their IT purchases, while ensuring that the products are useful, reliable, and economical. For the last 25 years, PEPPM has simplified the ordering of information technology and related equipment for the schools, universities, and libraries of Pennsylvania, California, and other states that allow their schools to piggyback onto the program. More than $1.9 billion of technology products have been sold through PEPPM during that time.
